02. Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.
電視裡演的並非現實。現實生活中，人不會一直娛樂，而得要去工作。人們都喜歡看電視劇，但你不要看，那並不是你的生活。只要在公司工作，你是無暇看電視劇的。【奉你不要看，否則你走上看電視連續劇之路，而且看得津津有味，那你將失去成功的資格】
03. Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.
對你討厭的人友善點，因為有一天他可能會是你老闆。永遠不要在背後批評人，尤其不能批評你的老闆無知，刻薄和無能。【因為這樣的心態會使你走上坎坷艱難的成長之路，最優秀的人才，未必就是最適合企業發展的員工】
04. If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.
就算事情做不好，也不能遷怒你父母，那並不是你父母的錯。別埋怨你碰到的，應該要從挫折中記取教訓。當你陷入人為困境時，不要抱怨，你只能默默地學習。【你要悄悄地振作起來，重新奮起】
05. Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they now are. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you are. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parents' generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.

06. Your school may have done away with winners and losers but life has not. In some schools they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as many times as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.

07. Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you find yourself. Do that on your own time.

10. You will NOT make 40 thousand dollars a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a car phone, until you earn both.
